Origanum ( Origanum marjorana )
Origanum; Origanum vulgare Extraction is by steam distillation of the dried flowering herb. Odour - warm, spicy-herbaceous, camphoraceous. History - domestic herb. The herb has traditionaly been used for digestive upsets. Frequently confused with Marjoram. Uses - similar uses to marjoram but a stimulating oil; rheumatic conditions, neuralgia. The major constituents in our oil are available on request (GC/MS) Safety - Dermal toxin, skin irritant, mucous membrane irritant. Do not use in pregnancy.
